How Do Fish Finders Work
Fish finders are generally a very important device in almost any fisherman's toolbox. They assist in probing the depths of the bed of a lake and it reveals fishing spots that the human eye can't see. Modern day gadgets provide a good variety of capabilities and features in order to assist you to make sense of the advanced technology.
Fish finders function beneath water to map and identify all objects including rocks, debris and fish. Once identified it then creates a picture on the display screen of everything it finds. Do not mistake this technology with the same as a standard camera. The technology identifies objects by using sonar technology and then translates the actual picture using a visual representation. Using sound waves or sonar in the water can send out signals as soon as the signal hits an object it transmits it back to the fish finder. Using this kind of specialized signal processing can help marine electronics give you all the proper information at an accurate rate.
A fish finder is manufactured with two major parts, the display screen as well as the transducer. The transducer is the main energy source which transmits a beam beneath the water. The transducer can easily be attached instantly on the outside of the boat. This is commonly called a transom mount.
Frequency is the power of the particular sonar transmission measured in KHz. The frequency works with the cone angle to help you figure out if the beam is focused on either deep water or shallow water. Much lower frequencies may pierce the water deeper compared to higher frequencies. A low frequency is 50 KHz where as a high frequency is 192 or 200 KHz.
Be on the look for high resolution screens that are sunlight viewable. Notice if you don't get a fish finder that is not sunlight viewable it will be very difficult to see on a sunny day. Another thing to remember is that the picture that gets displayed on the fish finder looks better in black and white rather than in color.
The majority of people would like different underwater electronic devices for a number of different reasons. A good idea that is very cost effective is to buy a fish finder that is already has a GPS incorporated.

How do I resume downloads in installous?
Internet doesn't work in my house so I use a wifi finder for my itouch so I don't have a stead fast or reliable wifi signal when I try to download with installous or appcake I lose connection midway how do I pause/resume downloads if I can
I dont believe you can on installous.
I think you should use http://apptrackr.org/ or appcake and download it on to your computer. From there you can sync it to your ipod using itunes
