what's the difference between a converter and an adapter?
I'm going to Europe and want to plug in my battery charger what do I plug it into the converter or adapter or both?
An adapter is just a passthrough, in that what is on the input pins is directly connected to the output socket contacts. It assumes your device is compatible with what you are going to plug into.
A converter changes the signal/power from the input to one compatible with tdevice connected on the output, because it is not comptible with the input.
Most battery chargers these days are universal switch mode types, so will need just an adapter.
